Across a plum-colored sky, a golden bird with two heads spreads its wings in flight. Between its two long beaks sits a small person in a striped shirt, and the bird's tail streams out like coral flames. Above float a yellow moon and a pink fish, and below rise peaks of ink. In the old tale, the Gongmyeongjo is a bird with two heads on a single body. When they help each other, they fly together; when one envies the other, they die together. It has been said that each of us is responsible to all, for all. You and I, and even the two hearts within me, are in the end one body. Like the small person seated between those heads, we cross the universe leaning on one another's backs.
