The Fan – A Doodle in the Sky
As children doodle, I draw upon the sky. Stars become lines, clouds become sentences, and the wind becomes a comma. Like the memory of scribbling on wallpaper or in the corners of a notebook, this fan is the trace of a moment when I let my mind go without a single worry.
An old saying holds that the truly great never lose the heart of a newborn child. When the wish to paint well comes first, the brush soon grows heavy. Art is not something grand. Perhaps it is the way back to that purest heart. The sky never scolds a doodle.
