Blessing Embracing the Universe: Phoenix and Dragon우주를 품은 축복: 봉황과 용

Across a sky clouded in ink, the head of a phoenix crowned with a red crest rises up. Its neck turns into the body of a dragon as it descends, coiling long and wrapped in rainbow bands, and beside it floats a blue planet patterned like a checkerboard. Since ancient times, the phoenix and the dragon have been symbols of holiness and blessing, a hope that everyone dreamed of meeting at least once. While painting such joyful beings, I too was filled with bright energy, as the old words say, a merry heart does good like a medicine. May the joy that came first to the one who painted it pass into the hearts of those who see it, like a small piece of good fortune.

먹빛 구름이 감도는 하늘 위로 붉은 볏을 단 봉황의 머리가 솟아오른다. 그 목은 아래로 갈수록 용의 몸이 되어 무지갯빛 띠를 감고 길게 휘감기고, 곁에는 푸른 바둑판 무늬의 행성 하나가 떠 있다. 봉황과 용은 예로부터 성스러움과 축복의 상징이었고, 누구나 한 번쯤 만나기를 꿈꾸던 희망이었다. 그런 기분 좋은 존재들을 그리는 동안, 나 역시 밝은 기운으로 채워졌다. 즐거운 마음은 좋은 약이라는 오래된 말씀처럼. 그림을 그린 사람에게 먼저 찾아온 그 기쁨이, 보는 이의 마음에도 작은 행운처럼 건너가기를.
