The Sun and the Water Jar on Her Head
This painting expresses the weight of a woman's life and the sublime beauty of enduring and living through it. The water jar carried on her head is not a simple burden. It is a symbol containing all the complex meanings of life, including family, responsibility, tradition, memory, sorrow, and love.
The woman walking with the water jar under the sun does not become exhausted. Rather, even if she is tired, she never stops. Though her steps may be slow, they are firm and resolute, and the deep history of life is etched into every stride. Through this painting, I wanted to depict the harmony of strength and softness carried by all women.
The sun above her head is sometimes a hardship, but sometimes it is the source of life. Receiving that light fully, she walks her own path in life today, carrying the water jar.
