Confronting the Self Within

This painting captures my moment of confronting the self within, set against a cosmic backdrop. The self dressed in Hanbok (traditional Korean attire) symbolizes the past, tradition, and my roots that I can never let go of. I gaze upon that self in stillness. That gaze is a silent dialogue starting at the deepest core, through which I finally become whole. Confronting myself is not fear; it is the solace of gaining the strength to fully embrace myself and move forward into the world.
