Blue Freedom within a Red Frame
This painting contains my fundamental question about the concept of 'the frame'. The red frame is intense and rigid, feeling like a boundary intended to confine people. However, inside that frame, there are blue winds, free lines, swimming fish, and flying birds. Through this paradoxical harmony, I sought to express the dual nature of human freedom and oppression.
We constantly live within countless frames, such as social roles, age-related responsibilities, and invisible norms. Yet, even within them, we think, move, love, and create art. The blue freedom in the painting is the powerful inner energy that blooms precisely within that frame. The red frame is not removed. Rather, a beautifully flowing freedom eternally exists even within it.
